Events - Quotes

Workshops or other scientific events held in collaboration with international scientists always inspire young researchers to pursue a career in science. They allow us to get deeper insight into promising research areas, modern approaches and methods, trends, specifics of world class studies. I did enjoy working under the supervision of our guests. They did not give us the answers to the questions, they made us ask the right questions and find the ways to answer them. The workshop proved that interdisciplinary studies are becoming more and more effective and we need to be updated in lots of disciplines, be flexible and open-minded to succeed in science. My gratitude to organisers! Thank you for the chance and platform to get new knowledge and experience.

I’m glad to have an opportunity to be a part of this wonderful project. I’m also pleased for a possibility to meet such great scientists in person. As a young unfledged researcher I appreciate such programs especially for their educational part and participants’ involvement in the international scientific dialogue. It motivates, gives food for thoughts and good background to go further. I’m looking forward to further collaboration.

In my opinion, the workshop held in Tomsk was very useful for all of us, in the sense that it allowed to learn in more details what each of us do, revealed our common grounds and outlined further cooperation prospects. In addition, I would like to mention the friendly and warm atmosphere that prevailed throughout the seminar, and which, I believe, will continue during whole period of further cooperation.

This network truly creates a lot of bridges. A bridge between east and west, a bridge between senior staff and intelligent, enthusiast students, a bridge between traditional linguistics and experimental, cognitive linguistics as well. There may be differences, but our seminars showed that there is a lot of common ground as well. I think this collaboration will help psycholinguistic research forward in all the involved countries. That is, I believe we can build on this common ground for years to come!
