In 2014 I graduated from Tomsk State University, Russia with a specialist degree in linguistics and translation. My thesis dealt with the problem of translator’s competences and strategies. While doing my research I got interested in cognitive linguistics and decided to pursue a career of a researcher. In 2014 I entered a master's program in linguistics at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, TSU. At the moment I am studying cognitive and linguistic factors influencing native and foreign language acquisition employing linguistic and psycholinguistic methods. In 2015 I was part of a research group working on formulaic language use in monolinguals and bilinguals. The project was administered by Queens University, Belfast with several experiments conducted on the premises of Tomsk State University.
Since autumn 2014 I’m holding a position of a lecturer in Spanish at the faculty of Foreign Languages TSU and teach the following disciplines: Spanish language oral practice, grammar, phonetics, oral translation, economic and legal translation.
